Run a Weekly Marketing Review

Run a weekly review that records what shipped, what was measured, and what was learned, then sets next week's plan.

Situation

It's review day and the week's work needs a verdict: what moved, what's pending, what changes next week.

Outcome

A completed weekly review (outcome, priority, changes, shipped, measured, unmeasured, learned, decision), with next week's plan set.

Steps

  1. 1Open the Marketing Plan and run the checklist: the outcome (baseline → current → target) · the one priority move · what changed · what shipped · what was measured · what is unmeasured · what was learned · what decision is needed.
  2. 2For each completed task without a result, open "Log a task outcome" and record it, or leave it honestly pending until its window closes.
  3. 3Resolve the Decision Inbox on the Plan (accept / dismiss / snooze). Nothing pending rolls forward silently.
  4. 4Read "What changed and why" and any "Suggested changes to your plan", then decide keep / simplify / skip / change for each active task, with reasons.
  5. 5Apply small changes on the tasks (arrows to reorder, "Skip" with a reason, "Add task"). Use "Edit plan" only for rework: it builds a new draft plan for you to review. Never let the plan mutate silently.
  6. 6If the business is a client, run the Client review agenda (see Explain uncertainty honestly to a client): the outcome → what was observed → what remains Unknown → what shipped → what the result shows → what it does not show → next week's decision.
